Welcome!
I'm Louise Gibney, a writer from Northamptonshire. This is my website on all things scribbled - thanks for stopping by!
My website is very much a dynamic environment, changing frequently and staying up to date but I hope it gives you an idea what you can expect if you visit. Get click happy, and I look forward to hearing your feedback.

Blogging Bonkers!
I started my writing themed blog somewhere around March 2012 and it's come on leaps and bounds. Click on the tabs above to see my latest posts. I appreciate all the support I've had from writers, readers and friends and I hope to continue to inspire and encourage your creative muses!
In January 2013 I also launched my much deliberated travel blog, 'Born To be A Tourist'. I am working hard to make it much more than a travel diary with very limited me-me-me stories. My aim is to make it full of interesting internet snippets I find and tips on how to travel safely, cheaply, and with a huge amount of fun thrown in on top. 'Quitting Bread' was a 30 day challenge my sister set me in November 2010. See how I got on with cutting out bread from my diet here - with surprising results! Take a look and let me know what you think. As always, I welcome any comments and feel free to share or tweet any blog posts you enjoy. |

Towcester Writers' Group
Wearing another of my 'hats', I am also the Chairman of the Towcester Writers' Group. We meet once a month, and though we're a new group, we're growing fast and full of local talent! We have fiction writers, autobiographers, poets and comedians - published and unpublished alike.
If you would like to join us one evening, come along to the library in Towcester at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of the month. We ask for an entry fee of £3 to cover room hire and teas/coffees. You can find us on Facebook if you want to know more about the group or take a look at our website. Examples of evenings we've had so far include Open Mic Nights for our writers to showcase their work, writing competitions, a variety of guest speakers, and workshops to help improve our writing skills. Our meetings are always varied in content, trying new things each time. We all leave with a smile buzzing from the evening's events. |
